The Journey brings us fine Electronic Music from Canada by Dino Pacifici. After ´Random Factors´ (´94), ´Reflections: Long Ago And Far Away´ (´95) and ´Urban Oasis´ (´96), ´The Journey´ (´97) "is the one" Dino has "been itching to put out".
Listening to it makes itself clear. ´The Journey´ is pure electronic music with a spacey touch starting with the 3rd track. It was nominated in the category Space/Ambient/Electronic among Steve Roach´s latest album. Even on ´The Journey´ Dino can´t deny his jazzy influences which can be heard on track 1 and 2, but it is never dominant like on the previous releases or on his newest release.
´Acquiescent Resonance´ (´98) can be described as dubbed instrumental jazzy soul music. ´The Journey´ is highly recommended if you like the music of Jonn Serrie and if you like instrumental soul or soft jazz, listen to ´Acquiescent Resonance´ or former releases of Dino Pacifici.
